An excerpt of my transcription and translation process

Neil Forest
DE-EN Translator, specializing in Kurrentschrift
I’m a Wisconsin-based translator with a passion for uncovering the stories hidden in historical texts. After living in Austria, I earned my Master’s degree in Translation and Interpreting Studies, where I specialized in German-English translation. During my time as a German archival translation intern at the Pabst Mansion, I learned to read Kurrentschrift, an old form of German handwriting, and developed a deep appreciation for bringing archival documents to life for modern readers.
